The Dream

I knew when considering the Glamping Tent that this was a BIG decision. Putting up a kid’s play structure or tree-house was one thing, but building a platform with a large tent on it, meant that I would actually be starting a business. Was I really ready to do this, and especially in early 2021 during Covid lockdown? I needed to know for sure that this was the right thing for me and for my family.

So let me backtrack. We had closed on our Signal Mountain, Tennessee home at 10.30 PM on December 31, 2018. The fulfillment of a goal to buy a family home that year! In 2019 we, along with a local father and son building team, had remodeled our home. I should have been more than content as we had three guest bedrooms and almost 8 acres of land to care for which kept us very busy. But I kept dreaming of a little cottage in our woods. I built Pinterest boards and looked at plans. I bought a 100 foot tape measure so it was ready to measure out where the cottage would go.
